HAVERFORD -- Germantown Academy's boys swimming and diving team took to the road for the first time this season, traveling to Inter-Ac League foe The Haverford School for the first league meet of the year. Last year's competition came down to the wire, and this edition was no different, as the two teams each registered 93 points and the meet ended in a tie.

The competition was highlighted by the Patriots breaking five of the Fords' pool records.

  • Brandon Fleck '25 swam the 50 freestyle in 22.81, and the 100 freestyle in 49.82 to break pool records.
  • Landon D’Ariano '24 went 1:59.19 in the 200 IM to break the pool record.
  • Andy Zhou '24 broke the pool record in the 400 freestyle, going 3:58.62.
  • The boys 400 freestyle relay of Fleck, Zhou, D’Ariano, and Dylan Nier '27 broke the pool record by going 3:29.51.

GA returns to action on Jan. 17 when they take on William Penn Charter on the road.
